Honesty, Passion and Knowledge for Lolita
Okay so it seems that in the last entry there was a bit of a discussion goin on about LOLITA FUCKS and wither or not its really lolita.

Personally I figure if you're going to go ahead and say elitism is a good thing about extending niceties to others you should leave the fucks people alone or cancel your subscription but it seems to me that people are pretty much willing to cross the line or at least turn a blind eye in this exception.

So? What do you think? Exception with reason or not?

Hello hello your mod here with an update on how the UnBirthday event with Novala went for those of you who weren't able to attend. It seems at the moment that there are quite a few pics circulating around the internet at the moment from the party so for the update I will focus more on what was said that I think holds more importance at the moment as the attendees were blessed with some very useful information. Click the cut.

I woke up this morning and found this question posted on a certain lolita fashion police community and thought it was a rather nice question :

"Is there a way to do casual loli without looking like a COMPLETE tool?

I like lolita alot, but the WHOLE look is a bit.....much. And, you must admit, a little impractical.

So can casual lolita be pulled off, or should lolita be an all-or-nothing thing?"

So lets open up the floor for some talk on casual. What are your opinions on it? Do you have any pics of yourself in it pulling it off or perhaps another good example?

Alright people!!!

Today is the FINAL day to purchase tickets for the Novala Un-Birthday Party event if you plan on going. From what I understand there are a few seats left in the outer tables that are going for a rather reasonable price.

If you live in the US or another close country and are able to make it to LA for the weekend DON'T MISS OUT! This is a unique event that will be crucial turning point in American Lolita and Western Lolita history, so please make sure you or anyone attending with you has their ticket.

Information can be found at the PMX website under special events :

It has also been announced that Novala will be handing out a prize to the best dressed and mannered individual or couple at the party so please do your best everyone!

Alright I have a question to open up the first discussion.

What is your opinion on using Japanese words when speaking in formal lolita settings? I'll be going to Novala's tea party this week and personally I'm hoping not to hear any extra Japanese bits thrown into the mix at the party. It's always seemed horribly otaku-ish too me or wampanese. Personally I think its just silly to start using Japanese words and expressions to pepper your conversations.

Anyone else?
